2019 Affair of the Heart – Notre Dame School of Dallas

For the past 15 years Nuvista has supported the Notre Dame School of Dallas with it’s annual fund raising event “The Affair of the Heart”. The Notre Dame School was founded in 1963 by The School Sisters of Notre Dame. he School serves students with developmental disabilities ages 6 through 21. Students are grouped according to age and taught at their particular functioning level within their age group. The academic curriculum emphasizes math, science, reading, social studies and language arts. Music, PE, computer and religion classes are offered to all students. Independent living skills, job skills and career exploration are important elements in the upper school. Christian values and attitudes are taught in all classes.

The Gala Event is held every November and the funds raised at the event are critical to the success of the students and the school. There are performances by the students and a silent auction to raise funds and support the donations made to the school.

Once again NuVista has made a huge difference in the success of An Affair of the Heart.  Brandon and his team did a seamless job with the AV – they even spiffed up the backdrop with some cool fabric.  Our guests were inspired to great generosity by seeing our students perform, the DVD and remarks of a parent.  If the AV does not work, these things are not very effective.

Please extend our heart-felt thanks to the entire AV team.  And to you – Many, many thanks for your long time generous support.  What a difference you have made in the lives of the special students at Notre Dame School!!
