Can I hire contractors outside of the show kit to perform my exhibitor show services?

Yes, there are only a couple of services that can not be provided by outside contractors such as drayage, pipe and drape, and a few others. There will be a form in your show kit requesting the outside contractors name and address that must be filled out and sent in early, generally 30-45 days befor the show.

How much electrical do I need for my booth?

Total everything in your booth that will need power and use the chart in the show kit to ensure that you have enough power. Make sure you include your audio/visual equipment requirements.

Do I have to hire show labor for fork lift use and riggers?

Yes. Outside contractors can not perform this service.

Does the show organizer or facility management have any restrictions or policies for use of my booth space?

Yes! Make sure you read the rules and regulations for that specific show and hall. Each facility across the country has different requirements, such as height restrictions.

What is drayage?

Drayage is a material handling fee charged by the appointed general contractor on all freight that is moved in and out of the halls through the loading docks. Everything that us sent to your booth space will be weighrd by the general contractor and assessed a material handling fee. This fee is typically assessed on each 100lbs of freight. The general contractor will bill you directly for all charges.

What is BOL?

Bill of Lading. It must be filled out prior to departure from the show. Your freight coming into the show must also be accompanied with a BOL.

Are there different rules for different size booths?

Yes, again make sure you read the rules and regulations section of your show kit for each facility. For instance there are different height restrictions for in-line booths versus island booths.
